Hello!

I am having trouble ensuring that all titles show in their entirety. For example, when I am working on the Inside Sales titles, they all fit on the one line (i.e. Inside Sales & Logistics Representative). However, when I go to download/print, they are losing the end of the title and not all fitting (i.e. Inside Sales & Logistics). Another thing is, I want to add a line underneath name so that it says Hire Date: XX/XX but when I go to print, it’s also disappearing and just not showing that second line. 

How do I edit text size and boldness if it’s not pre-set in the template? Every time I make an attempt to change the names to bold, I can’t even find that option.

To better understand the issue, could you please help with a few quick questions?

1. Are you using a template-generated org chart or did you create the structure manually?

2. When the title gets cut off on download, are you exporting as PDF, image, or printing directly from the browser?

3. Is the "Hire Date" line added inside the same text field as the name/title, or as a separate text box?

4. When you try to bold or resize the text, do any options appear in the top toolbar when you click inside the text box?

If possible, could you share a screenshot or short screen recording of:

• How the org chart looks in Miro before export

• What happens when you download or print it

• Where you're attempting to change the font style/weight

This will help us understand whether this is a limitation of the export function, a formatting issue, or possibly a bug.

1. I am currently using the dotted line org chart template in Miro.

2. The titles seem to get cutoff/condensed when I export it as an image. So, all information is in there but the titles of the longer worded ones are shortened.
3. The hire date I have been added in the same text field as name/the non-bolded area and just pressing enter for a new line.
4. No, no options seem to appear on the right side when I click the text, I am not sure if I have a top toolbar.

This is the more ideal state where the titles are fully shown and the hire date is on the third line. However, when I zoom out more and/or go to export, the titles shorten and that third line disappears.

Here’s what’s likely happening:

When you export as an image, Miro may auto-resize or crop based on zoom level and canvas area. That’s why longer titles or additional lines (like the “Hire Date”) can disappear or appear shortened.

Try:

• Before exporting, zoom in slightly and adjust the size of each org chart card manually to give more vertical space for multi-line text.

• Try exporting as a PDF instead of an image—PDFs tend to preserve text layout and scaling more reliably.

• If you’re using “Fit to screen” when exporting, consider using “Selected frame” instead, and manually define a frame around your org chart.
