Hello!
Is there a way we can make a setting that refers directly to objects on the board that enables users to create consistent sized objects every time? For example, if I’m designing a BPMN and I have multiple gateways, is there a way I can set all gateway objects to be the same size on this specific board? Or if I’m adding a task box, and I import that shape, can it just be the same size across this board?

We noticed when we add objects from the side bar or copy and paste, we lose a lot of time to resizing those objects to try and keep them consistent.

I appreciate it! Thanks.

Hi @joshcodecurrent, thanks for raising this!

At the moment, Miro doesn’t have a setting that automatically enforces consistent sizing for specific shapes (like gateways or task boxes) across a board. What many teams do to keep things consistent is:

  • Create and save custom shapes or templates with the exact dimensions you want, so you can easily reuse them without resizing.

  • Use the duplicate function (⌘D / Ctrl+D) instead of copy-paste, which helps preserve formatting and sizing more reliably.

  • Leverage frameworks and templates if you’re building diagrams like BPMN — this can save setup time and maintain consistency.
