New template placement on the board

While working with a team on a new feature, we wanted to add a template for a brainstorming session to an existing board. The new template has been created on top of other elements already present on the board.

It got me wondering - what’s the point of placing the template above other elements, shouldn’t it by default always land on the very bottom as a basis for other stuff? Is there maybe an option to configure that in the application? Would make our lives much easier ;)

Hi @Juliusz Kusiak,

Thanks for asking your question! The reason why the template appeared over other objects is that in Miro all objects (except frames) are created in this way. The “older” an object the more “behind” it is.

However, you can easily move new objects behind the old ones. On the GIF below you can see my new template in front of the “old” sticky notes. The entire template is already selected. All that’s left to do is to open the menu and choose “Move to back”. Done! The template which was created after the sticky notes is now behind them. You can do the same on your board -  feel free to try. Thanks for using Miro!
