As the title says, I have one single board in Miro, I used a paid plan for a while but reverted back to free as I didn’t need all these features.

Now that only board is locked in view only, and I am prompted (with a little blue ribbon on top) to upgrade back to a paid plan to access the board again.

I thought I could still have up to three boards in the free plan?

@Flossy The board was created as private while on a paid subscription. Now that you are back to free, which doesn’t not support private boards, you will need to change the team access from “No access” to “Edit”.

All of the details can be found in this reply (note: read the entire reply as you may run into a scenario where you are missing the “team” access option):

Thanks for the reply.

That said I cannot invite anyone to my team or board without upgrading, as I click “invite member” I am prompted with a pop-up to upgrade to a paid plan.

What I did find out is that I can create a duplicate of my board, then delete the view-only one and the duplicate can be edited.

@Flossy

I cannot invite anyone to my team or board without upgrading, as I click “invite member” I am prompted with a pop-up to upgrade to a paid plan.

While you were likely prompted with a message that suggests an upgrade, it’s worth pointing out here that the Free Plan does offer unlimited team members.

What I did find out is that I can create a duplicate of my board, then delete the view-only one and the duplicate can be edited.

Ah, thank you for pointing this out as it is definitely a more straightforward approach for regaining edit access to a locked board. I will add this to my other post too.
