Hi @Mathis Gallouet, thanks for reaching out — I understand how important your work is, and I’ll do my best to help you figure this out.
A few clarifying questions to help us investigate:
-
Do you happen to have another email address you may have used previously to sign up for Miro? Sometimes the system logs users back into a different profile if more than one email was used, which could explain why your previous boards aren’t appearing.
-
Were your boards created under the same email address in the profile currently logged in to your device?
-
When prompted to create a team upon logging in — was that the first time you've seen that message, or had you already joined or created a team before?
-
Are you seeing any boards listed under the “Deleted boards” section on your dashboard (bottom left panel > Trash icon)?
Let me know what you find — we’ll work through it together!
@Mathis Gallouet - Situations like yours are an unfortunate side effect of Miro’s bottom-up flywheel growth model.
For example, someone is invited to join someone’s Free Plan Miro team, they then create boards in that team (pushing the team over the 3-editable board limit). So, a Team Admin removes them from the team. The next time that user logs in, Miro detects their account profile is not a member of any team at all and prompts them to create a team.
Here is post where I share some tips on trying to figure out where the boards might be and who might still be on the team where they reside:

Hello @Eca, thank you for your reply.1/2. I've always used the same email address and created my boards from it.3. Regarding team creation, yes, this is the first time this has happened to me, and I think that's the cause of my problem.4. And regarding the recycle bin, I can't access it because I'm using the free version of the software.Thank you for your help. For your information, I use translation software.
hI @Mathis Gallouet,
Thanks again for your reply and for confirming those details — that helps a lot.
As you’re on the Free Plan and mentioned that this is your first time being prompted to create a team, I agree with what Rob shared above. This kind of situation can happen when someone is removed from a team where they previously created boards. Since Miro accounts don’t store boards independently of teams, your boards might still exist under a team you’re no longer part of — they just don’t appear in your current dashboard.
Rob linked a really helpful thread here with tips on how to investigate:
How to find (and hopefully recover) a lost or missing board
That said, since you’re unable to access the Trash on a Free Plan and you’ve confirmed your email address hasn’t changed, I’ll go ahead and convert this into a support ticket so the Miro team can take a closer look on the backend. Thanks again for your patience — we’ll get this looked into for you!
Hello, I'm writing to let you know that my problem is resolved. Thanks @Eca and @Robert Johnson for your help. The problem was that my friend removed me from his team (I didn't know I was on his). So I lost the board, but I was able to find it again.Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for everything.
