I have, due to separation of job, consulting mandates and other projects, worked with different email addresses (different accounts) for using miro.

Last summer I have created 2 large boards for myself which I haven’t used since then. Now I struggle to open them again. I am not sure which account this was about and the boards are not shown in miro anymore.

I managed to retrieve the links to those 2 boards but when trying to access them the message is that I am not the owner (with that account). So, I request access and get the massage “Request has been sent” but on none of my email accounts I get this request message. How can this happen? Where are these requests being sent to? How can I claim ownership and open my boards again?

I have the same problem: I was the owner, but when I open the link to this board, I am no longer the owner, and I can't find any request anywhere.

When this happens, and you are certain you are signed in using the account under which you created the board, then what has likely happened is that you have since been removed from the team to which you belonged when you created the board (and where the board still resides).

You will need to be re-added to the team and have the new board owner either share it with you or transfer ownership back you to, or figure out who the new owner is and ask them to share a copy of the board with you outside of the team.

Unfortunately, for privacy and security reasons, when you receiving the above message, Miro will not share any details of the board with you.
