I have inherit a Miro account in which there are many teams and lots of boards inside each team with owners no longer existing in the firm. How can I bulk move all those boards into a new [archive] board? I’ve searched online but doesn’t seem to exist a solution when you are NOT the owner of the board.

Hi @OrEvan, thanks for the question — I’d love to help clarify your options here.

To better assist, I have a couple of quick follow-up questions:

  1. Is the account you inherited set as an Admin on the teams where the boards are located?

    • If yes, you should be able to manage board ownership by:

      • Removing inactive users from the team

      • Reassigning ownership of their boards to yourself or another active member

      • Once you’re the owner, you can move the boards between teams as needed or manage them however you like.

  2. Just to clarify your goal — you mentioned moving all boards into a new wARCHIVE] board.

    • Are you looking to consolidate the content into a single board?

    • Or do you want to move all existing boards into a new team or project space for archiving?

Knowing this will help determine the best approach (e.g. duplication, ownership reassignment, support escalation, etc.).

Looking forward to your reply!

Hi Eca and thanks for your quick reply.

I removed the only user left so now that i’m the only one i got access to the boards.
However i can’t see any bulk move. and i have to transfer few dozens of them.

How can i do it fast without spending 3 hours?

Hi @OrEvan At the moment, Miro doesn’t offer a built-in option to bulk move boards between teams. Boards will need to be moved individually.

If you're on an Enterprise Plan, we recommend reaching out to the Miro support team—they may be able to offer a more efficient solution based on your account setup.
