Miro desktop app fails to start regularly

I use Miro Windows desktop and browser on a daily basis

Roughly once pr month the Desktop fails to load. The Miro window opens, grey background, Miro logo and caption “Miro”, maximize restore and close buttons. And nothing more. It stays unchanged for hours.
3 times now I just uninstall and reinstall and then it works fine again. Until it does not.
Is there anywhere I can find error logs? 
I’m fed up now and will just have to work with the browser version.

I’m not impressed with the desktop app.

The behavior you’re describing can be due to the desktop app cache or a loading issue. Reinstalling works because it clears that state, but you can try the following:

  • Clear the Miro desktop app cache (this often resolves the grey screen without reinstalling)
  • Make sure the app is fully updated to the latest version
  • Check if any VPN, firewall, or proxy might be blocking the app

Regarding logs:
Yes, you can access logs locally. On Windows, they’re typically found under: %AppData%/Miro/logs

 

If the issue happens again, sharing those logs with support can help pinpoint the cause.
