I am a Master’s student working on the project on my own, I had been working on it for awhile. Today, I opened up the whole content I created has disappaered. Is there any way to fix it and bring it back?

Try checking Miro's Trash by going to https://miro.com/app/dashboard/trash to see if your board or content was accidentally deleted.
