Microsoft Teams: account connect not working

I’m trying to connect my Miro account via the Miro plugin in MS Teams and it does not seem to be working. When I type ‘connect’ in the chat as prompted by the bot, nothing happens. I read that a new tab is supposed to open where I can log in, but I don’t see anything. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Another approach I’ve tried is to open a Miro board within a Teams channel that my colleague created. There as well, I see the log-in page but when I click the ‘office’ logo to sign in, it opens Miro in my browser (where I’m already signed in) but I just see the loading screen on the Miro tab within Teams.
