MacProject PERT Chart importing to MIRO with vector graphics and editable text

Hi,

I have this pert chart and want an editable version in Miro. AI says they can make one, but having trouble getting follow through. Can someone walk me through the steps with minimum redraw once in Miro?

Hi @Edward Fontana thanks for reaching out!

At the moment, Miro does not automatically convert imported PERT charts into fully editable vector objects with editable text. When you import a file (PDF, image, etc.), it typically comes in as a static image.

To minimize redrawing, here are your best options:

1) Recreate Using Smart Diagramming

If the import flattens everything:

  • Insert a Flowchart or use Smart Diagramming tools in Miro.

  • Copy/paste text from the original chart into shapes.

  • Use duplicate + align tools to speed up layout recreation.

This reduces redraw time compared to building everything from scratch.

2) Use AI as Structure Helper

You can:

  1. Ask Miro AI to generate a PERT structure.

  2. Paste your task list separately.

  3. Then adjust connections manually.

AI won’t perfectly recreate a visual diagram from an image yet — but it can help rebuild structure quickly.

If you can share what format you’re exporting from (PDF, SVG, etc.), the community may be able to suggest a more specific workflow.
