So I use Miro for personal to track process flow - such as working with banks post the death of my mom on succor issues.

In the process of signing up, I was informed that I would be paying for 2 seats, because among my boards there is one that is shared with my husband, an old board that we never really collaborated on.  Wanting to just purchase 1 seat for my personal use, I tried to delete and could follow the instructions removing someone from admin.

Instead, I don’t ended up leaving a team, which made all my boards disappear.  I didn’t realize that my boards were under a team called Family Tracker.  It was after that I was able to remove my husband in admin mode.

How do I get these boards back?  They are really important since they track all the communications since my mother’s death, particularly transferring bank information, specific phone numbers to call (as regular Customer service is not suffice)  and correspondence progressing towards an outcome. I have read that getting the board link should allow me to get back to it, but it doesn’t give me any option other to log in - it is weird, I’m logged in as myself yet it asks me to log in again to view the board which is an endless loop leading to the same prompt to log in again.

I would like to get these board back and subscribe for one seat.  I realize this may not be of interest to Miro given I am just one person and it is not as profitable as a B2B account with multiple seats, I’m hoping there is a solution here as regardless of seats access accidents do happen at all levels.

Hi @wongmeiyen,

Thanks for sharing the details of your situation, and I’m very sorry to hear about your loss.

We understand how important your boards are, especially given the sensitive nature of the information they contain. It sounds like you may have unintentionally left a team workspace where the boards were stored—this can indeed result in losing access if you're no longer a member of that team.

To help us investigate and assist you in recovering access, could you please provide the following:

  1. Email address associated with your Miro account (you can share this privately via the support ticket—we've converted your post into one).

  2. The name of the team/workspace you left (you mentioned Family Tracker—please confirm).

  3. Do you still have the board link(s)? If so, please share those in the ticket.

  4. Was your husband still part of the team after you left, or was he also removed?

  5. Are you currently seeing any boards at all when you log into your account? Or is your dashboard completely empty?

Regarding your subscription: Yes, it's absolutely possible to use Miro on a 1-seat plan. We'll help make sure you’re set up that way correctly once access is restored.

We’ve converted this post into a support ticket so our team can follow up directly with you shortly. Kindly share the answers to the questions in the ticket that I created for you - #853565. Thanks for your patience—we’ll do our best to get this resolved.
