Hi - I’ve lost my boards and see now I’m a free user. I did not change these settings myself so wondering what happened. If I pay again, do I see my boards that I lost?

@mmenendez

Have you looked at the top-left Team navigation to see if you can find other teams you are a member or guest of? For example:

However, if you signed into Miro and were suddenly presented with a popup asking you to create a new free team, then you now only belong to one team and someone, i.e., a Team Admin, of a team you used to be a member of has removed you. Any boards you may have had access to or owned would remain with that team.

If I pay again, do I see my boards that I lost?

If you are paying for a Miro subscription but were removed from the team/subscription that you are paying for, this would mean that a Team Admin of that team – there can be more than one Team Admin – has removed you, and you’re back to the same result where you no longer have access to the boards in that team/subscription.

Either way, I would suggest that you reach out to someone (preferably the owner/an admin) on the team to request access again.

Hi @mmenendez👋, Robert’s explanation is spot on here. If you’re not sure which team you were removed from, or you can’t identify the Team Admin to reach out to, please let me know so I can connect you to one of the supports. They’ll be able to look into your account and confirm what happened with your boards.

Hope this helps you get clarity quickly!

Thanks Robert - That was it - the drop down, I figured it out that day. I think the update to Miro pushed the default opening screen to that free profile rather than the one that has all my boards.  I’ve used Miro for awhile and was first time I was lost haha.

Sorry for the delayed response. Outlook pushed these notifications to junk.

Fantastic!

BTW, there is currently a bug for most (if not all) Miro users where Miro keeps defaulting user’s dashboard to the oldest subscription/team/org ID that their Miro account profile is a member of. So, in your case, while unexpected, if you open Miro in a new tab/session and are directed to the Free Plan team, this is due to the bug and because the Free Plan team was created before the new paid subscription.
