When I try to add a Link, MiroBoard corrupts my link, example: if I paste
C:\Program Files
It becomes:
file:///C:/%5CProgram%20Files
This is a new thing and very annoying before I could just paste and it worked
a very unhappy user

Hi
Sorry to hear that
I’m not sure why it happens, so I’ve converted this post to a support ticket - the Support team will get back to you via email.
If I’m not mistaken, isn’t this how files hosted on server locations are represented in web browsers? I don’t think this is a Miro-specific thing in other words…
Kiron
Did you find a solution to your problem?
I am struggeling with the same thing.
Thanks
No I did NOT, I complained that when you make a link in Miro-Board to a folder on your
local network it doesn’t work.
The answer from the Miro-Board team was: we have done this for security reasons.
We use Miro-board to plan our tasks, and it was VERY convenient to have a link to the
folder where the task was described.
But Miro-Board just canceled that possibility So now we have to do the following procedure
every time we make a new entry:
Copy the link into notepad
Change all the” \” to “/ “in the link
Then put the link into Miro-Board
Now when you put the mouse arrow over the link button you can see the link
and go to the folder by following the path you saw in Miro-Board.
It’s time consuming and irritating and we are now looking for a better system from a company
that actually listens to their customers.
A frustrated Gorm Joergensen
PS I don’t understand how this change have made the Miro-Board more secure, as you can see the
link and go to the folder manually, please explain that ?
