Hello, everyone, is there a way where I can link an action of showing/hiding any layer by clicking a shape in mrio.

Objective is to create an interactive miroboard, by putting rectangular buttons on left side and show area on right side so that when I click any button, area on right side show corresponding diagram or content organized in layers.

Hi @Rizwan Khawaja, welcome to the Miro Community!

At the moment, Miro doesn’t support layer-based visibility toggling via shape clicks (like show/hide on click), but you can simulate interactivity with a few workarounds:

  • Create separate frames for each content “layer” on the right.

  • Add rectangular shapes on the left as “buttons” → click the shape → use the link icon → choose “Link to” → select the frame.

  • Clicking a button jumps the user to the corresponding content.

  • If you’re presenting, you can reveal content step-by-step using “hide/show objects” in Presentation Mode (available in Smart Meetings).

  • It’s not clickable by participants, but good for guided flows.

  • Group each right-side content block and lock/hide them as needed.

  • Reveal content manually during live sessions.

If native interactive layer toggles are something you'd love to see, feel free to add it to the Miro Wish List so the team can consider it for future updates!
