The layer function in Miro disappeared today. I have tried rebooting, looking into different boards to see if it's a bug in my particular board, but it seems to be gone from the tool list in every board I've checked. Is this a mistake? I have lost some of my content due to some layers being switched off when the layer function disappeared so I would really appreciate the help!

Hi @Maija123,

Thanks for bringing this up! As per Miro Support, we’ve received reports from other users experiencing the same issue with the Layers tool. I’ll convert your post into a support ticket so the team can include your case in their ongoing investigation.

I also have this issue

Hi @Keith Miller, thanks for reaching out! As per the last conversation of supports and OP, the issue was resolved after uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Could you please try and see if it helps? If you are not using the app, could you please share the details:

  • Are you using Miro in a browser or the desktop app?

  • Which browser and version (e.g. Chrome 124)?

  • Have you tried clearing cache/cookies or testing in an incognito window?

Looking forward to your reply so we can help troubleshoot further!

@Eca I have the same issue - no “Move to Layer” button. Issue is in both Firefox and Chrome.

I had the same happen to me. I had 4 layers in my diagram on Friday. Now on Monday I only have the 1 default. Some content is now missing. The entire “Layers” panel disappeared. I still have the “Move to Layer” button but my layers are gone.
