[KNOWN BUG - NO ETA FOR FIX] Confluence pages not showing up in Miro application

I am trying to embed Confluence page into Miro.

  • Credentials are good
  • I am able to embed a Miro page in Confluence
  • Not able to embed Confluence in Miro
  • I did try the Troubleshooting references and check the cookies and pop-ups settings.

I faced different scenarios.

  1. In Miro, my magic link will first display my page and turn into a “You need to be logged in to view this page”
  2. In Miro application for MacOS, It will first load and give a preview of my page, and then switch to get “You need to be logged in to view this page”.  But on a web browser, I can see the page properly… sometime… very inconsistant.  Just did a refresh and I get the same undesired Confluence object…

What should I do?

I just received this reply from the support team:

Our team has identified a bug that causes Confluence page to not login from Miro application. However, due to Canvas25 and the complexity of the fix, we currently don't have an ETA to share.

Since the fix will be considered in the long term, we'll close this ticket to keep your inbox free of extra notifications. However, if there is anything else we could help you with, please let us know - we are always here for you.

@VMV I’m getting the same results as you, but in Windows. I will open a support ticket and update this post as I learn more.

@VMV BTW, if you have a paid subscription, you can also submit your own ticket if you’d like by following these instructions:

Initially that’s what I wanted and used to do… but the page is all weird now, so links seems not leading nowhere.

I am unsure if I have Business or Enterprise Plan… how can this be validated?

Thanks.

@VMV You should see the subscription type via the team changer:

I don’t see what you are showing :’(
Maybe because I don’t have Admin priviledges?

@VMV That’s because you are a member of one team, in one subscription type.

Click on your avatar at the top right, then Learning center, and then look for Contact support on the left:

Ok, this is weird.
Under Edge, I am not able to log in (clicking Sign In does nothing), and pages are messed up.  In Chrome, I am able to log in and pages show correcly… And I found the page to do the “Submit a request”!  Thanks!

Update from Miro support:

Thank you for reporting Confluence embeds preview are not showing up on Miro desktop app.

After testing, I could replicate the same behavior: Confluence embed on the app asks to log in, when it opens on the browser, I am already logged in and there is no change on the app.

I have reached out to our developer team to investigate this behavior in more depth, I will update you as soon as we have more information to share.

I am also having this issue:

  1. In Miro (online on Edge), my link will first display my page and turn into a “You need to be logged in to view this page”
  2. In Miro application for MacOS, It will first load “You need to be logged in to view this page”.  I do not see the preview at all.

Also having this same issue. Weirdly, the confluence page would appear on the Miro browser version but not on the Miro desktop version but after a refresh, both pages now say “You need to be logged in….”
