I am tired... From the past 5 days, I was building a detailed pitch deck for my today's meeting, and yesterday night when I opened it just to check if everything was good, I saw everything was deleted and I panicked at that time. Then I went to the board → history and undid all the work and re-arranged the whole presentation again, which took me hours.

Now I woke up and saw it got deleted again. What is going on? I have to restore it again from history, and now it's just dozens of messy versions. Can the Miro team restore my exact board? I can give the exact timing and name of it.

Board name: Senne Jackson (Planning)

Timing when it was good: Around 5:05–5:10 AM, GMT+5

I have a meeting in 50 mins... Would highly appreciate it if they can fix it.

Hi! I was working on my board and αt some point the power went out and the computer turned off. When I reconnected to the computer and opened this board, I had lost several things that I hadn't processed in the last few hours before power outage. I also can't find any command in the history that something happened. Please help me!!
Thank you

Hi @laze , thanks for reaching out!

It’s possible that the content you were working on didn’t have a chance to sync with Miro’s servers before the power outage, especially if you were working offline or had an unstable connection. In this case, those changes might not be saved.

Here’s what you can try:

  1. Check the Board History:
Open the board and click on the Activity in the top-right corner to see recent edits or go to Board History (if you're on a paid plan) to restore a previous version.

  2. Try from Another Device:
Sometimes cached data can affect what you see. Try opening the board in a different browser or device to check if the missing content appears there.

If nothing helps, I’ll go ahead and convert this post into a support ticket so the team can investigate the board activity logs on the backend for you.

Let me know how it goes!

Can someone help me, i logged in my miro today and the half of all my notes disapeard, can i download a old verison or something where evrythign ist? soemthing liek a data lost?
Thank you!

Hi @Jeyan Özcan, sorry to hear about this

Just to check: have you already looked at the Activity tab and the Board History? If the notes were deleted or moved, those features might help you track when it happened or restore a previous version (if you're on a paid plan).

Let me know what you find!

I opened my college notes to share with a friend, when I entered most of the project was deleted, I'm desperate because they were important notes, I believe it was a bug, can anyone help me?

Since the new update, things get lost in my boards. They just disappear. It now happened the second time to me. Please help!

Hi @Haroon Hustler really sorry to hear you're going through this, especially with a big meeting coming up.

I’ve gone ahead and converted your post into a support ticket so the Miro team can take a closer look and assist directly. If you have the board link, I highly recommend sharing it with them in your reply to the ticket email — this will help speed up the investigation.

Hi everyone! I’ve merged all your posts regarding the Board content that disappears and could not be restored in the board history.

We've received confirmation from the Miro Support team that their engineering team has identified the issue and is currently working on a solution. 🙌 I will continue to update this thread as soon as information becomes available.

If you’re still seeing unexpected changes or content missing and haven’t submitted a ticket yet, we recommend doing so via Miro Support ideally including your board link and the approximate time the issue occurred.

Thanks for your patience!

@Haroon Hustler  Sorry, I don’t think I can help you. But I will say, I have been relying on Miro for mission-critical stuff for years - and my approach (just like in my IT projects) is -- for Mission Critial stuff -- backups upon backups. So with a quick flick-of-the-wrist I download a board backup (.rtb file).

Recently I copied my backup files off my Mac - I had around 30 GB of backup files only.

But as mentioned . . . when stuff is mission critical I never take chances. Be that with Miro, or source code, or anything else.

I am sure this won’t solve your problem - so sorry about that!

Cheers, Ken
