Hi @V010dymyr

Thanks for reaching out.

The assignee list in the Kanban widget only shows users who have access to the board.

Could you please check whether the teammate you'd like to assign the task to has already been invited to or shared on the board? If they don't have access yet, they'll need to be added to the board before they can appear in the assignee list.

If they already have access and you're still unable to see them, let us know and we'll be happy to investigate further.

Hi, Eca

Yes, other members of my team had already been granted the Commenter role before this case was created.

Hi @V010dymyr

Thanks for the information!

The assignee list in the Kanban widget only shows users who have access to the board and have edit permissions.

The teammate you'd like to assign the task to should have Can edit access. If they only have Can comment access, they won't appear in the assignee list since commenters are limited to commenting and can't be assigned tasks. If they already have edit access and you're still unable to see them, let us know and we'll be happy to investigate further.

Hi Eca

The observed behavior actually differs from your last explanation. Previously, you mentioned that a member must have the 'Editor' role (not 'Commenter') to appear in the Assignee list.

However, I am seeing a discrepancy: when I assign the 'Commenter' role to an individual user, they do correctly appear in the Assignee list. But when the exact same users are added to a group with that identical access level, they do not appear.

The issue seems specifically tied to granting mass access via groups, which contradicts the role requirements you outlined. Could you please investigate this bug?

Hi @V010dymyr thanks for the followup!

I tested it again and the result is the same on my end.

Since you're seeing commenters appear when they're shared individually, it's possible there are differences in our board or team settings that are affecting the behavior.

This may require a closer look at the underlying configuration and behavior, I'll convert this into a support ticket so the team can investigate further.

They'll reach out if they need any additional information.
