Hi,

I’m trying to create my own Ikigai template and are having problems with colouring the overlapping circles. I can select a circle, change the colour and the transparency, but whilst Miro saves the colour, as soon as I exit the board and return, the transparency settings are incorrect. I’ve done community and general Google searches and there are many results where people are recommending trying saving to a different % of transparency, clicking out of the object and then saving the correct % a second time, using different browsers (I’ve tried both Safari and Chrome), emptying the browser cache, switching off any extensions, duplicating the cluster of overlapping circles or just starting entirely from scratch. I’ve tried all of the above and none of it makes any difference.

Has anybody else encountered this problem? If so, were you able to find a solution?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Bruce

OK, after a bit of experimenting, I’ve found a solution. In my Ikigai template I have 4 overlapping circles, each of a different colour and with a transparency of 50%. If I create a board, add the circles to the default layer, set the colour and transparency, as soon as I exit the board the transparency settings are lost. If I create the second circle, right click and select “Move to layer”, then create a new layer, Layer 2, and then repeat this process creating Layer 3 and 4 for the third and fourth circles, everything works as it should when I exit and return to a board. OK, so it is a little more complicated, but understand the logic in using different layers to give the impression of overlapping.

Give it a try - I hope it helps!

Thanks

Bruce
