Hi everyone,
I'm using Smart Tables in Miro and often convert rows into cards for use in Kanban-style boards. However, I’ve noticed that I can't control which fields from the table are shown on the card preview. Some fields appear automatically, others don't – and I can’t find a way to customize this.

Is there a way to define which columns are visible on the card once it's created? For example, I’d like to show only the title, status, and due date – and hide the rest.

If this isn't possible yet, how do you work around it? Would love to hear how others handle this!

Thanks in advance 🙌

Hi @Ramon Steinmann , thanks for raising this!

At the moment, it's not possible to manually select which Smart Table fields appear on the card preview after converting a row into a card. Miro automatically chooses which fields to display, typically prioritizing key fields like title or status — but customization isn’t supported yet.

Workarounds to try:

  • Keep only essential fields filled before converting to cards.

  • Use card tags or comments to manually add priority info.

  • Maintain the Smart Table nearby as a reference and minimize non-essential card data.

That said, this is great feedback. I recommend adding your request to the Miro Wish List so the team can consider it for future updates.
