HI, I am new to Miro and just tried using it for the first time. My students downloaded Miro and registered. I sent them an invite via email to join my board and the students received that and tried to enter the board. When they did they just receive a white screen with no icons/tools to be able to edit it. They also could not see my writing on the board. What I am missing? Why can’t my student collaborate on the board? I did set the access settings so that they could edit the board. TIA!
Are you saying your students are seeing a page like this?

If so, this is very unexpected indeed. Have they shared a screenshot of what they are seeing? It could be helpful in troubleshooting the issue.
Linking Students to a spot on the board
Perhaps your students are just landing on a blank spot on the board.
You could either:
- Set the default view by
- Going to a spot on the board where you’d like for them to first land
- Right-click on the board and select Set current view as start
- You can also create a link to an object on the board by
- Selecting an item
- Opening the overflow menu using the ellipsis
- and selecting Copy link, e.g., this link will take you to a blue arrow that says “The end of this journey”.
Contacting Miro Support

Thank you for your reply. I have only just started with Miro so I am trying the unpaid version at the moment to see whether it is worth getting the paid subscription. The student was on a google meet with me when we tried to get her on the board. She showed me that she clicked the link I sent her to access the board, she seemed to be accessing the board and I could see that her board was like mine is just as i try to open a board, it takes a second or two for all the icons to show up so that I can interact with the board, hers seemed to be stuck there, the icons never came. I have tried deleting that board and inviting her to a new one...Hopefully that will work!
