I would like to import a csv file and have Miro populate a mind map from that file.
Is this possible?
If so, how do I do it? I have been searching through various community discussions but cannot find the simple answer.
Is there a simple answer?

Desperately seeking a solution.

Hi @Desa Zraick

Thanks for reaching out!

There’s no direct “Import CSV to Mind Map” feature in Miro at the moment, but you can get there with a couple of workarounds:

Paste directly into a mind map

  1. Open a Mind Map in Miro.

  2. Copy the rows from your CSV (or spreadsheet).

  3. Click the central node in Miro, then paste (Ctrl/Cmd + V).

    • Miro will create a branch for each row, using the first column as the node text.

Paste as sticky notes, then convert

  1. Copy your CSV cells.

  2. Paste onto the Miro board — they’ll appear as sticky notes.

  3. Select them all → Convert to Mind Map from the menu.

Note: Multi-level hierarchy from CSV isn’t supported yet — you’d need to arrange branches manually.

If you’d like to see a true CSV-to-Mind Map import in Miro, you can submit your idea to the Miro Wish List so the product team can consider it for future updates.
