Is there a way to create a template box to insert and auto scale and crop an image?  Similar to indesign?

@Josie Briggs - There is no specific object/box/etc. for specifically doing what you’re describing. If you group an image (or any object) with another object, they will resize together.

In this example, I grouped an image with a rectangle shape and then resized them as a group:
