I want to delete a board that doesn't have an owner

There's a board that we used while working on the project, and it's open to Public.
Now that the project is closed, I want to delete the board because it contains information that should not be exposed to the outside world.
The owner of the board has left the company and has not been able to transfer the rights, so the board cannot be deleted.
Is there a way to delete the board?

Was it helpful?

Hi @CPP

Sorry to hear you’re having issues. Only owners or admins can delete boards. More details in this article.  You’ll have to get an admin to transfer ownership of the board to someone in order to delete the board.

If you’re on a paid subscription, you can also open a Support ticket to have someone help with the account.

A team admin could also delete the user from the team, assuming (or reassigning) ownership of the board in the process.
