Right now, Miro assigns my guests to names like “Visiting Developer””, but I would like something more generic, like “visiting hippo” or “visiting dragon”. My new team is not in IT and I think that it is off-putting to have names that are associated with an IT team
I want to change the theme of the random names that are assigned to guests.
That naming style usually comes from the default system template and most platforms do not allow custom themes for guest auto-generated names. You can check if there is a branding or team settings option that lets you adjust guest display names, otherwise it is typically fixed by the platform. If customization is not supported, the only workaround would be manually renaming guests after they join or requesting the platform to add more flexible naming options.
Thank you for your prompt response. I do not see a way to manually rename a guest after they join. I’m currently on the free plan.
