I can log in through browser but can't log in through app

Literally what it says on the tin. I try to log in through the desktop app through the magic link but it gets stuck on the “Check your email” screen, even after I’ve clicked the magic link that gets me back to the app, but on desktop it's a matter of nothing for me to log in. I don’t know what to do.
