Question

How to update client names across a reused Miro template

Hi everyone. We frequently reuse our old workshop templates for new corporate clients, but cleaning them up is a nightmare. Old client names, dates, and placeholders are always scattered across dozens of sticky notes and connection labels. Is there any native feature in Miro to batch-update text variations globally, or do we really have to manually check every single object one by one?

Quick question regarding template maintenance. I have a shared team template where I need to clean up old dates like [2024] or [2025] and placeholders across multiple text boxes at once. Doing this manually is a massive time sink. Is there a way to link text objects together, or maybe some shortcut/addon that allows text matching to change words in bulk?

Is there a global find and replace shortcut in Miro yet? We just restructured our roadmap naming convention, and now I have to rename a specific term on about 70 different text blocks and shapes. Clicking every single item manually feels completely counterintuitive for a modern whiteboard tool. Any advice on how to speed up bulk text cleanup?

Hi @Сергей Зенюк thanks for reaching out!

I've merged your recent topics as they all appear to relate to the same use case: finding and replacing text across Miro boards when reusing templates or performing bulk text updates. As you've already mentioned in several Wishlist items, you have a workaround using the Smart Find & Replace app available in the Miro Marketplace, which may help with the scenarios you've described.

At this time, we don't have any additional information to share regarding native find-and-replace capabilities beyond what's already available in Miro today. If the product team releases new functionality or if we receive official updates on this topic, we'll be sure to communicate them in the Community.

Hi Eca,

Thank you so much for such a detailed response and for organizing all my feedback!

You’re absolutely right — the Smart Find & Replace app is a solid workaround for now, and I’m glad we have this option in the Marketplace to handle bulk text updates and template reuse.
