how to delete desktop frame and still keep all the work inside

Hi, I am trying to delete a desktop screen frame template without losing my work inside. It is ridiculous that there isn’t an obvious button to delete it and keep work inside. It is a mindmap and now half of my work has been cut off and cannot be found again, the placement of everything is out of place and not to mention all the time and energy i spent on this. I am not restarting my assessment and I refuse to lose my work. Does anyone know how to do this? Any help would be appreciated.

@Emily bather I feel your frustration! You should be able to select everything first and drag the objects out of the frame.
