Good afternoon. We had an employee, last year he drew a diagram in Miro, he quit last year.We need to delete this scheme, it contains sensitive data. Please tell me how to do this? There is no access to his account, the email through which he registered has been deleted.

Hi @Artem Kan

Sorry to hear about your issues.

Establishing access to the email looks like it’s the first step but Miro can’t restore a deleted email. In this article, we note that: “To regain access and admin rights to your Miro team, the Team Admin should have an active email address that you can use to change the password and log in. . . . If you’re unable to access the Admin's email, please reach out to your Email Service Provider (ESP) or IT team for assistance. Miro is unable to help you regain access to the email on your behalf.”

If you’re on a paid plan, you could also try contacting Miro support here.

Thanks for the answer. We have already asked our IT department and postal service, they cannot restore the mailing address. What other options are there, there is sensitive data on this board, did the former employee do this out of ignorance?

@Artem Kan - If you were a Miro Enterprise Plan subscriber, and the former employee’s account’s email address was using your company’s domain, then I suspect, with domain control enabled, and working with a Miro Customer Success Manager, you may be able to amalgamate any teams/accounts created outside of your primary subscription.

While this can seem like big steps to take, an enterprise-level subscription can reduce risk and stop situations like yours from happening again. Miro sales has a contact form if you want to explore this further.
