How do I paste text into a timeline record?

​@Carlos Viña, thanks for jumping in and sharing your experience! Could you please share how exactly you pasted the text?

On my end, I just followed the same steps Daniel described and showed in the GIF — I copied the word “test” from the first task, then tried pasting it into the second task field. The field stayed clear.

When I pasted outside the field, the “test” text appeared, but inside the task field it wasn’t inserted — instead, it was recognized as a separate object within the “text box”.

Really appreciate your patience — I’ll follow up as soon as I know more!

Are you using the browser or the desktop app? I’m using the windows desktop app.

Hi! I’m using the browser on a Mac, and I did take the same steps as ​@Daniel Kaplan: I copied the text from the “Second task” with keyboard shortcut (cmd+C), then selected the text inside the “First task”, (and then the “Third task” as well) and pasted with cmd+V.

In my case the text didn’t stay cleared, but was replaced with the copied text, as expected.

I have tried this in Chrome, Firefox, and Safari, with the same outcome.
