How do I align flowchart shapes?

I know about and understand the alignment tooling with ”Basic Shapes” but that same tooling does not seem to be available with the “flowchart” shapes. The alignment option does not show on the pop up menu?

@Tony Cleveland - Without a visual, I will assume that your objects are inside a swimlane object. If this is correct, they auto layout and alignment tools will disappear (same as when in a Kanban, user story map, or table):
