​@dprfnv I am feeling your pain.

A few changes that have stuck out to me:

• Filtering & Sorting — All filtering and sorting options are missing from the main dashboard, but are present when in a Space.
• Board thumbnail
  • Can no longer specify a location on the board as a thumbnail. Instead, now you must download your board location as an image and upload via the Being able to pick any emoji instead of the previous 40 is a welcome change. The tradeoff is that a few — flags, multi-part emoji like 🧑‍💻 — render as something other than what the picker showed, depending on the viewer's OS.
• Spaces emoji required — Being forced to pick an emoji when creating a Space adds friction. Now I have to stop and decide whether the emoji actually represents the content, and whether a random pick will distract others — neither of which I wanted to think about mid-flow.
• The Spaces sidebar continues to open on every board load. It remembers nothing about my last visit, but I remember all of them.

The main toolbar now permanently pins 4 tools that are barely used in daily workflows. 

The only tools directly inside the left creation bar that are unpinnable for me are the very top two:

1. Select
2. Formats and Flows

As for customization and fast tool access, I actually made an entire video around my  navigation practices after 8+ years of heavy Miro usage — it’s called Moving Fast in Miro. You can check it out here;

Just start at Part 3 — 22 tools, each on a single key press, using the left creation bar's 1–9 shortcuts plus other tools' hotkeys.

I can understand the frustration, especially after using Miro for so long. Changes that add extra clicks to everyday tasks can really affect productivity.

The toolbar issue sounds particularly frustrating when frequently used tools like Text, Sticky Notes, and Pen are no longer immediately accessible. Hopefully Miro takes this feedback seriously and considers bringing back more customization and flexible folder views.

Hopefully future updates focus more on improving workflow rather than making familiar features harder to access.

thumbnail. And the difference is clearly visible.
