Hello Miro Friends ! I tested it today with a friend who I invited as a guest editor to my Miro board and asked her to copy and paste the content but she can’t. I updated the permission settings to allow team members and users outside the team to copy content a few days ago. Why is this happening ? Is anyone else having this issue?

Thanks !

@vicky liu - Everything is working for me as I would expect it to - note: I am on the Consultant and Team plans and have tested this in both.

Presumably the permissions you said you updated were the Board content settings.

Did you update this setting for the specific board that you are trying to share content from? Or did you only update the permissions at the team’s permission level?

It is worth noting that there is now a “guest” and “visitor” role - how did you invite this person to the board? Was it by setting the board’s Share settings to “Anyone with the link → Can edit”?

The specific setting for allowing guests to copy content should be as follows:

One thing to note is that visitors will not be able to unlock board content, therefore they can’t do a copy-paste from your board to one of theirs.

What if your friend just tries to duplicate the entire board by opening the board, clicking on the board name at the top-left and then uses the Duplicate button? This will create a copy of the board in their account - this is the same functionality as duplicating a board from the Miroverse site. To test this yourself, here is a board that is in my account as view-only with the board content settings set as per my first screenshots. You can duplicate it using the steps I just outlined in the previous paragraph:
