OK, I cannot open a board or do anything with this software.  I am logged in and none of the tutorials I have viewed are of any use.  All they do is tell me just how great miro is and what I can do with it.  But if you can't open a board to get started, you can do nothing with it.  So is there anyone out there that can help me get started from zero?

Hi @Shane Kreuzer, welcome to Miro — and thank you for being honest about your experience so far. That sounds frustrating, and we really appreciate you reaching out.

Let’s get this sorted so you can start using Miro without the stress. A few quick questions to help us troubleshoot:

  1. When you log in, do you see a dashboard or any teams or boards listed?

  2. Are you getting any error messages when trying to open or create a board?

  3. Could you please share a screenshot of what you’re seeing? That would help us better understand what’s going on.

In the meantime, here’s a quick link to create a board if you’re logged in:
👉 https://miro.com/app/dashboard/ Then click the + New Board button (top left or center).

We're here to help you get started — you've got this! Let us know what you're seeing and we’ll take it from there.

No dashboard or teams board, just the one that has all the tutorials which don't address my issue.

No error messages

I will now try the link you sent.

When I tried the link

I would want to create a new board to begin working on.  Eventually share with a team but there is no team board to start with.  How do I just create a new board and begin editing?

Hi @Shane Kreuzer. From what you are describing and the screenshot you have provided, it looks like your Miro account profile (i.e., email domainl is a part of a Miro Enterprise subscription and you do not have a full license (and can only view or comment on existing boards).

Someone in your prg looks to have created a default team where all users land, and added a "Welcome to MIRO" board. If there are no instructions on that board has to how to request a license, I would suggest that you start by asking any internal channels (a help/support desk, emailing/pinging other Miro user colleagues, etc.) to ask who your Company Admins are. Additionally, you could try clicking the top-left menu from your dashboard, and then hovering over the "SKF" team name to see if there is a "people/team members" icon that you could click to access the users page to filter by "Company Admin".

I hope this helps!

By the way, if SKF = skf.com, then you surely have an Enterprise subscription as there is a Miro verification TXT DNS record for skf.com.

This actually helps.  As it eliminates me as the issue.  I will direct this internally for now.  Thank you.

@Shane Kreuzer  Obviously I am biased because I love Miro, but there is a reason there are more than 70 million users - they put a lot of thought into it, and in many ways it blows Excel out of the water. The cool thing about Miro is that EVERYONE can use it for free - just create your own private account and you’ll be able to create a total of 3 boards. But naturally . . . if your company can offer you an account, this is the way to go - and eliminate any sharing issues which arise from free vs enterprise.
