Just to clarify — are you using the Gantt Chart template from Miroverse or one you created directly within your board using shapes and text? If it’s from a template, some elements might be grouped or locked, which can prevent direct editing.

Could you try selecting the phase name and checking if there’s a lock icon or if you need to ungroup the elements first?
If that doesn’t help, please share a screenshot or short video showing what happens when you try to edit the text — and also include the link to the template you’re using so I can check if there’s a workaround for it.

I am new to Miro and using the Miro template “GANTT Chart” with capital letters for GANTT (there is another Gantt template lower case). This template It is set up well for my use case (Architecture) except for initially not being able to edit Phase. It was not locked however with your instruction I found and selected “remove grouping” which was by “Phase” - selected “edit field”.

I can now edit the “Phase” field - Screenshot below to help any one else that might be stuck.
