I use frames inside my board, and lately Miro keeps deleting frames, cloning frames, and sometimes reordering frames (which could, perhaps, be a combination of cloning and deleting). I don’t do anything fancy (eg. manually reordering frames); this just happens. It also seems to be happening at an increased rate lately. Unfortunately it makes Miro essentially unusable for me, since I often want to refer to previously-created frames…
Any suggestions?

From what you’ve described and shown, it does seem like there might be a technical issue affecting the board’s frame ordering and duplication. And I could not replicate this issue on my end.
Since it’s happening across multiple boards, and worsens on reload, it feels a bit beyond something we can fix easily from here in the forum.
I strongly recommend reaching out to the Miro Support team so they can securely access your board's backend data and investigate further. It will be helpful to attach the screenshot you shared and also mention:

You’re accessing via Chrome with minimal extensions (AdBlocker + Video Speed Controller)

Just to better understand what’s happening, could you let us know:
Are you the only one editing the board, or are there collaborators who might also be working on it?
Does this happen across all your boards or just one?
Are you using any browser extensions or the desktop app?
If possible, could you also share a short screen recording or some screenshots showing what’s happening when frames disappear or get reordered?
We’ll do our best to help you get to the bottom of this!
I don’t have an easy way to reproduce the problem, but it definitely happens pretty often.
I’m the only editor on my boards. There are sometimes other viewers, but not always as far as I can tell.
This is happening across multiple boards. Not sure if it’s _all_ of them, but it’s certainly pretty common on my recent boards.
I’m using Miro through my browser (chrome) with AdBlocker and Video Speed Controller extensions (that’s all). I tried disabling AdBlocker but it doesn’t seem to matter.
The screenshot below shows an example of the issue. The currently selected frame _was_ completely different, but now it’s a clone of the one at the bottom of the frame list. This exact frame is cloned three times now, and several other frames are also cloned/out of order. It seems like the problem on this board has somehow gotten worse since I posted my initial question above...not sure what to make of that. It also seems that one frame is now blank in the preview, but still has my drawings - but that one is also out of order now. Hmmm - it seems like the behavior is often changing on reload. Yikers!

I already tried going down that path, and that lead me here. Miro seems to be making every effort to make it tedious to report an issue even though I’m a paying customer...why isn’t there a super obvious button I can click?!? Sigh...

I hear your frustration—reporting issues should be much easier, especially when you're a paying customer.
If it helps, the Contact Support button is located in the Learning Center on your Miro dashboard (click the “?” icon in the bottom-left corner). That said, if you're still having trouble accessing it or prefer not to go that route again, I have converted this post into a support ticket for you so the team can take a closer look.
I think I might’ve cracked the code on this one...
I noticed some garbled frame numbers in one of my corrupted boards:
which happens to be the “duplicated” frame numbers (5, 6, and 8) overlapped:
Also note the spurious “code block” just above the frame. It turns out the three original frames are still present, just layered on top of each other:
The thumbnails are now a weird hybrid of the three frames, but it’s a good sign that maybe my data isn’t completely lost and that it’s a problem with frame positioning. Maybe this also explains why selecting items in one frame apparently picked up items in other (presumably overlapping) frames?

The Engineering team notified me that the fix for the frame navigation issue had to be rolled back due to some problems with the release containing this fix. This is why the issue reappeared.
The good news is that a new update was released today, and the frame navigation should function as expected now.
For those who still experience the issue, could you please refresh your Miro board and check if you can navigate the frames without issues now?
