Frames Jumping or Moving Unexpectedly – How Do You Handle It?
Hi everyone! I’ve noticed that sometimes when I try to move or resize frames, they jump around or snap in unexpected ways. It can be tricky when organizing a complex board.
Does anyone else experience this behavior? How do you keep your frames aligned and stable? Any tips, settings, or workarounds would be really helpful!

Hi @linkjuice12, thanks for sharing your experience!
What you’re describing sounds like the smart guides and snapping behavior in Miro — they’re meant to help with alignment but can sometimes feel a bit jumpy when working with frames on a complex board. A few things you can try:
Zoom in closely when moving or resizing frames — this often gives you more precision and reduces unexpected snapping.
Turn off “align objects” temporarily in the board settings if you prefer more manual control.
Use Shift while dragging to keep proportions aligned.
If your board is very dense, try temporarily moving objects out of the way or working in an empty area, then repositioning.
That said, if you’re experiencing frames “jumping” in a way that seems like a bug (e.g., moving far off from where you place them), could you share a short screen recording? That would help the team determine whether this is expected behavior or something they should investigate further.
