I purchased the Miro Individual Plan, which costs R$45.00 per month, solely to create boards and share them with others for viewing purposes only. I never granted editing access to other users, nor did I intend to collaborate through a Team plan.
I never purchased a Team plan, never intended to assign paid licenses to other users, and never authorized Miro to automatically convert a simple view-only shared link into paid user seats.
It is completely unacceptable that Miro charged my credit card for additional licenses without any clear warning, explicit confirmation, or my consent. I only shared boards with view-only access, and under no circumstances should that have resulted in the automatic allocation of paid licenses or additional charges.
The charges made to my credit card were:
- March 30, 2026: R$290.04
- April 30, 2026: R$405.28
- May 30, 2026: R$360.00
Total amount charged: R$1,055.32
Considering that my individual subscription costs only R$45.00 per month, these charges are outrageous and entirely disproportionate to the service I intentionally purchased.
I demand the full refund of R$1,055.32 to my credit card immediately.
This billing practice is misleading and unacceptable. At no point did I knowingly accept or authorize the purchase of additional user licenses. If Miro intended to charge for extra seats, it should have required my explicit approval before processing any payment.
I have already canceled my subscription and I am extremely disappointed with this experience. Selling an individual plan while silently converting a simple view-only sharing feature into expensive paid licenses is unfair and deceptive.
If this amount is not fully refunded, I will pursue all available consumer protection measures in Brazil, including filing formal complaints with the appropriate consumer protection authorities and my credit card issuer. I also intend to warn others about this billing practice so they can avoid experiencing the same situation.
I expect a prompt review of this case and a full refund of R$1,055.32 to the credit card used for these unauthorized charges.
Sincerely,
Tatiana Moraes
