Question

Finding big files to decrease board size

Hi. I use Miro mostly to create mood boards, so lots and lots of photos. This often leads to boards that havé a lot of heavy files on them, thus making it slower or hard to access, especially from a tablet (not desktop). Is there an easy way to find the biggest files on the board, so I could replace them?

Thanks so much!

Hi @Jela thanks for reaching out!

If you're working with image-heavy mood boards, large files can definitely impact board performance, especially on tablets and other devices with more limited resources.

At the moment, there isn't a built-in way to view a list of the largest files or images on a board. However, Miro does provide some guidance on improving board performance, including reducing the size and number of large assets where possible.

A few things that may help:

  • Replace very high-resolution images with optimized versions when image quality permits.

  • Split exceptionally large mood boards into multiple boards if practical.

  • Remove unused images or assets that are no longer needed.
