Boards in Browser are working fine

Uninstalled and reinstalled – problem still appears

Newstart – problem still appears

Boards an all other devices work fine

Awesome, thank you

Got solved with the newest Version.

Hello!
I’m experiencing the same problem, but it lags in the same way on the web version as well. What can I do to fix this?
It lags only on my Macbook Pro.

Hi @Vanessa Heathcock,

Thanks for reaching out and providing details about your issue! Is my understanding correct that this is happening on both the desktop and web versions? Let's try a few troubleshooting steps to see if we can identify the cause and resolve it:

  1. For the Web Version

    • Check if the issue persists when using Miro in an incognito (private) browser mode or a different browser. This can help rule out browser-related issues.
    • Disable any browser extensions you have enabled. Sometimes, extensions like Grammarly can interfere with Miro processes, especially when working with text widgets.
  2. For the Desktop App

    • Try resetting the app data in the desktop app. You can do this by going to your desktop app settings (click your avatar in the top right corner > Settings) and selecting Reset App Data.
  3. For Specific Boards

    • If the lag is more noticeable on a specific board, try duplicating the board (click the board name > Duplicate) and see if the issue persists in the copied version.

If none of these steps work, feel free to share more details (like the Miro version you're using and your macOS version), and I’d be happy to further investigate.

Let me know how it goes!

Any resoplution to this? All of my Miro boards are now suuuuuppppppeeeerrrrr slow, rendering them useless for online facilitation.

Hi @Peter Durand, thanks for jumping in, and I’m sorry to hear you're running into the same issue — that definitely shouldn’t be happening, especially when you're facilitating.

To help us investigate further, could you share a few quick details?

  • Are you using the desktop app, web version, or both?

  • If web: which browser are you using, and does it happen in incognito mode or another browser?

  • If desktop: what Miro version are you running? You can find it in the app under Settings > About.

  • What’s your macOS version and Mac model (Intel or M1/M2)?

  • Also, does the lag happen on all boards or only some? Let us know if duplicating a board makes any difference.

Looking forward to your reply — we’ll do our best to get this sorted!

I’m experiencing the same problem. I updated the desktop app last week, and the second the update finished, the entire application became so slow it’s practically unusable.

  • Are you using the desktop appweb version, or both?

    • It works as normal in the web version, the problem is on desktop

  • If desktop: what Miro version are you running? You can find it in the app under Settings > About

    • I’m running version 0.11.99

  • What’s your macOS version and Mac model (Intel or M1/M2)?

    • M2

  • Also, does the lag happen on all boards or only some? Let us know if duplicating a board makes any difference.

    • The lag is on everything, the app launch takes ages, clicking on any buttons takes at least 30s and loading in a board takes even longer. Moving around on a board and interacting with anything on said bord is lagging so bad its unusable.
