Hi, I know we can export Miro Grid to an excel file, but I can’t export a Miro table to Excel format. Is there a way to do this?
Hi
Currently, Miro does not have a built-in option to export tables directly to Excel (.CSV) like it does with Grids. However, a possible workaround is to copy the table data and paste it into an Excel sheet manually. If you're looking for a more automated solution, could you share more details about your use case? This could help in identifying alternative approaches.
Let me know how I can help!
I desperately need to export Miro tables to excel in order to deliver much needed business reports. The copy paste option does not work as this only copies the table name to the excel workbook and not any of the table content data. Quite frustrating how Miro is still asking users with the same issue more questions instead of just developing the functionality to enable this export. I am not a developer that will go the Miro API route - can Miro please just do it.
I have the same problem as
this is not possible. cant believer the basic function to copy and paste is not available. Also you cannot do any calculations in the miro table. Why to make a table when its completely useless.
solution is to put the table straight into chap gpt and ask it to create the spreadsheet - an extra step which is annoying - but it works

Hey
I have a created a quick walkthrough for you to manage a workaround the solution. Take a look and I hope it helps
Thanks so much everyone for chiming in with your experiences and workarounds — it really helps others in the same boat!
We hear the frustration— having a native export to Excel/CSV option for tables would streamline reporting and data sharing significantly. I’ll continue passing this feedback along to the Miro team.
If there are any updates or improvements, I’ll be sure to share them here. In the meantime, keep those creative solutions coming — they really help the community!
There’s a lot wrong with this right now.
- I cannot convert a table into a grid - when did that happen?
- I cannot select the cells in my table to “copy”
- If I “copy” the table from the table menu, it doesn’t paste anything except the name of the table
- If I add the table to a frame and use export to CSV, it says “Sorry there is no data to export, please select objects that contain text.”
- If I try to export the board to an Excel file, it says “Sorry there is no data to export, please select objects that contain text.”
- If I try to export the frame to a PDF, it dumps the data out into a text boxes that are too small to then export to Excel (from Acrobat)
My data is no longer in sync to my Excel file and I do not want to retype all this, but at this point, it would have been faster. Now I can’t trust this app with my data.
Hi
Thanks for your detailed feedback — and I understand how frustrating this situation is, especially when it impacts your workflow and trust in the platform.
You’ve outlined some very real pain points, particularly around:
-
The inability to export Miro Tables (not Grids) to CSV or Excel
-
Issues with copying cell content
-
Export tools not recognizing your content as valid data
