I have now several times seen that i do a lot of changes to my Draw.io diagram. When hitting save and close i goes back to the version before, and when editing again all my work is gone.. no way of getting a version historic or something like that. Its just gone.!!!

This is so annoying, that im considering to skip both Miro and Draw.io. If you cant even rely on that save means save!!!

Another thing is, that in order for me to present the diagram on my miro board, I need to put the diagram in edit mode in Draw.io. If not is everything blurry when shown through Miro. I does not matter if i zoom in or out..

I have the same problem.

Hi @John T.H. Dobson and @Jens Leth-Nissen thanks for reaching out!

Currently, when using the draw.io integration with Miro, changes don’t always autosave reliably back into the board. If the connection fails or the save isn’t completed properly, edits can be lost, and unfortunately, version history from the board won’t capture those draw.io edits either.

A couple of recommendations to help reduce the risk:

  • After finishing edits, give it a moment before closing to ensure changes sync.

  • Export a backup copy of your diagram from draw.io (e.g. .xml or .png) before exiting.

  • If you’re seeing repeated failures, try opening the diagram in a separate browser session to test whether extensions or cached data are interfering.

Regarding the blurry display, this happens because the diagram is rendered as an image preview when not in edit mode. To keep it crisp for presentation, you’ll need to enter draw.io edit mode, or alternatively export the diagram at a higher resolution and re-upload it as an image.

If the issue continues, I recommend contacting Miro Support directly with your board URL and a short video so they can investigate further.
