This morning when editing a diagram, I tried selecting multiple shapes then selected to align. Both the distribute horizontally and vertically options are disabled. Even creating new shapes on new boards results in this. Did this feature somehow get disabled?
I am seeing the same thing - Miro Product team; update issue ?
Seeing it here too. It's always greyed out but sometimes the button respond.
It works when you draw a selection around some shapes but not if you shift click shapes.
Or just distributing using the blue lines?
I have tried both of the above methods and they are working as expected for me from:
- Windows 10, using
- Chrome
- Edge
- Miro desktop app
- Windows 11
- Chrome
- Edge
- Firefox
- Miro desktop app
The next step here could be to determine a similar condition between all of you.
For example,
- What OS are you using?
- How are you accessing Miro?
- Browser? If so, which one?
- Miro desktop app?
These are the kinds of questions that the Miro support team would be asking.
You may also have a common browser extension that is causing this behaviour. To rule this out, have you tried disabling all extensions?
I’m getting the same issue, not using the auto layout but the align dropdown, distribute tools are all greyed out.
To clarify, I can click the button circled in red, but when I do, horizontal distribute and vertical distribute are not functioning.
