Difference between "Starter" and "Business".

Hello everyone,

I am a teacher and I want to use Miro for my classes. I am planning to buy a Starter plan and I am wondering if I invite visitors to my Miro board, will they be able to edit the board? I need to share my boards with my students and they need to have an opportunity to edit them.

I am not sure if this function is only available for "guests" and the "business" plan. Can anyone clarify this for me? Thank you in advance!

@GTatiana - The both the Starter and Business Plan includes the Visitors feature. This is where you set a board’s “Anyone with the link” share setting to “Can edit” and then send a link to the board to anyone that needs to edit the board (note: no Miro account is required for the person with the link to be able to edit the board). Optionally, you can password protect the board.

In doing this, you are not “inviting” someone to the board – you are just sharing a link.

Guests

In the above screenshot, you will see that I highlighted the the work invite. This is where you would either add people to your team OR add them to the board as a Guest. For this option, your guest must have/create a Miro account.

Education Plan

If you are a teacher at an accredited educational institute, you may quality for a free, 100-seat Education Plan. Note: This doesn’t mean you have to add your students as members (they could apply for the Education Plan too) – you could still just use the Visitors feature.
