Diagram content lost after copying to new page – previous versions altered

Hi, my entire history seems corrupted after I copied my work on a diagram. I selected all my blocks and arrows and pasted them onto a new blank diagram page, but not all the content followed. Now I’m left with only about 40% of my work, and even when I open previous versions, all the arrows and text are gone. I also can’t remove the white diagram frame anymore. How can I recover the original version of my diagram?

Why did it delete all my content when I copied my work into the diagram?

Hi @ariane.carbonneau

Sorry to hear about this experience! Since your board history and content appear to be affected, this is something that the Support team will need to investigate directly on the backend.

I’ll go ahead and convert your case into a support ticket so the team can review your board history and check if the original version of your diagram can still be recovered. They’ll reach out to you via email with the next steps.

In the meantime, please avoid making further edits to the board if possible, as this may overwrite additional history states.

Hi,
I use diagrams quite often in Miro. I had the same issue as Ariane.
It started when editing a diagram (BPMN quite complex diagram) in Canvas mode (I forgot to enter the immersive mode at that time). And some of the objects disappeared: all the connectors (arrows). They were displayed in canvas mode but disappeared in immersive mode. And the process frame was not aligned with the diagram frame area any more : my diagram limits extended the white area of the white diagram frame.
Even with a restore of previous version, the issue was there.
As Ariane, I noticed that whenever I copy & paste the diagram, the connectors disappear in immersive mode.
However I found out that those invisible connectors reappear when we “shake” the remaining objects (shapes), just moving them slightly make the arrows connected to that shape reappear. It saves a lot of time, rahter than redoing all the connectors, but still remains a very annoying bug as I work with diagrams a lot.
Possible hint : it was the first time I used different layers in a diagram.
Do you plan a patch to solve this issue soon ? Thank you
