there are a few ways copying could be disabled from one Miro board to another.

I had issues when I wasn’t a board owner or co-owner (but Team admin) - each board can have its own restrictions set (you have to be a Board owner / co-owner to see these) - screenshots below.

The other reason could be that your Org admins have restricted copying boards and contents.

Can you copy any other items from the board?

I can copy something, but not all the frames. The issue is that the account is mine and the boards are mine, and when I open the board on the right I see “board owner” under my name, and the has been persisting for several days

 

How bizarre! I’m just thinking out loud here:

Are some of the items locked? (That can sometimes prevent you from being able to select them, when selecting multiple items)

Are you using layers? (sometimes items can appear to be part of frames, but are actually not because they are in a different layer)

Can you copy them from one place within the board to another place (if yes, but you can’t copy them to another board elsewhere that would indicate more of a permissions issue rather than unexpected functionality)

Interesting! Yes, I do use the layers, and I can copy within the same board to another place (just checked). But I can’t think of any reasons due to permissions thing beceause I am the admin(((((( no ideas

It is strange, unfortunately I have not been able to recreate this behaviour. I tried setting up all sorts of arrangements with frame and different objects in different layers - I was always able to copy everything, as long as I was able to select it.

So I'm running out of ideas unfortunately... Is it the same behaviour for all your boards or just one specific one?

What kind of objects are in the frame that you are trying to copy?

I have problems with copying frames from one board to another.

When you attempt to paste onto the other board, what happens? E.g.,

• Do you received any sort of error or notification that appears at the bottom of the screen?
• Does any part of the frame/its contents paste?
• Or does absolutely nothing at all happen?

How are you copying/pasting, e.g., Ctrl/Cmd + C, then V or by the “Copy” action in the frame’s overflow menu?

Which OS and client are you using? (macOS, Windows, a browser (which one), something else, etc.).

Are you attempting to paste onto a board that exists in the same Miro subscription? I noted from your screenshot that is said “Admin roles”, and with the absence of “Billing group”, I suspect you are likely on the Business Plan. However, if you are using an Enterprise subscription, and if you have the Enterprise Guard add-on enabled for your subscription, there could be guardrails in place that are are blocking some objects from copying to boards of a specific classification. You would need a Company Admin to review this.

nothing happens, 

I discovered that I can copy some frames and some other no. Asked my collegaues, they say someone has had the same problem  which was resolved by itself several days after, so I think thi is just the platform bug

Hello, the frames are not “heavy”, it’s just different stickers and images, I think  this is the platform bug or something casue some of my colleagues have had the same problem

I have the same issues even on the same board. While copying I can see this strange line and nothing happens
