Each time I copy and paste part of an excel sheet which has a cell with a date on it the Miro board changes the date by a day. Why ? Can I stop this from occurring?

HI @Graeme Nicoll

Thanks for reporting this — date shifts like that can be tricky, and we'd like to better understand what's happening so we can try to replicate it.

Could you help us by answering a few quick questions?

  1. Are you copying from Excel online or desktop? (If desktop, Mac or Windows?)

  2. What format is the date cell in before you copy it? (e.g. Date, Text, Custom?)

  3. How are you pasting it into Miro? (Right-click > Paste, Ctrl+V, etc.)

  4. What browser are you using for Miro, and what’s your local time zone?

  5. Are the dates always off by 1 day, or does it vary?

Also, if you're able to record a short video of your exact steps — from Excel to pasting into Miro — that would be really helpful. This will help us replicate it and look for patterns.

Let us know and we’ll dig in further with you.

Many thanks for getting in touch.
