Getting this error message when I try to copy my slides from one Miro Board to another:

“Some objects are on a different server instance and couldn’t be pasted”

Basically can’t seem to copy/paste the frames and images (only the text) from one Miro board to another. This is a new issue for me… was there an update I missed or did Miro make an update to code that messed with copy/paste within boards?

might be this?

@Roxanne Weippert -

What happens when you try to copy the content within the same board? Could you create a new board within that same team and try to copy the content to it?

Kiron

Copying within the board works fine.

The board I’m trying to paste into is a new board within the same team.

@Roxanne Weippert - If the message of “Some objects are on a different server instance and couldn’t be pasted” is being presented by Miro, e.g., in a black box at the top (or maybe bottom) center of the board, I believe this is unexpected and should be reviewed by the Miro support team.

You can find steps on how to create a support request from a paid subscription by following these steps:

https://help.miro.com/hc/en-us/articles/360020185799-How-to-contact-Miro-Support#h_01F010RXA0E1S9C0WFQYX75R6C

If you are on a Free or Education plan, you can find the support form in the same article by searching for “contact form”.

I would also suggest adding a link to the board that you are unable to copy from in your support request - note: Miro may also ask you to give them access to the board.

This is happening to me too.

@Michael Goulet I reached out to Miro support (per @Robert Johnson ) and it turns out they have made some updates. If you’re using the Miro App on your computer (like I was) you’ll need to download the newer version and then you should be able to copy/paste within different boards.

This seems like something Miro needs to address. If you’re using the App on your computer it should prompt you to update it when they make changes.

Thanks for the update, @Roxanne Weippert!

Updating the app did the trick. Thank you @Roxanne Weippert  & @Robert Johnson!
