Hello All,

I’m having an issue where in the flowcharts I’m writing, I draw connecting line, then I go in the next day, and those connector lines aren’t pointing to where I connected them to.  They are just straight and don’t go anywhere, so I have to go back in and connect them all.

It seems random and it doesn’t do this on all flowcharts, just randomly I’ll look at one and the connector lines from some of the box’s in the flowchart move to point no where.

Have any of you seen this behavior.   I have screen shots to show this behavior if you’d like to see them.

Thanks!

Mark

Hi @TRMF_MARK, welcome to the Miro Community and thank you for flagging this!

That definitely sounds frustrating. While connector lines in Miro should stay attached to their objects, there have been a few cases where lines appear to disconnect or "float" after a board is reopened, especially if:

  • The connected shapes were grouped, duplicated, or edited in bulk

  • The board was accessed from different browsers or devices

  • There’s lag or syncing delay when collaborating with others

If you’re able to share your short video showing the issue, that would be really helpful for understanding what’s happening. You can also note:

  • Whether you're using the web, desktop, or mobile app

  • If this happens after a specific action is done or working in certain sections of the board

  • If this is observed in other boards as well

  • If other collaborators are seeing the same issue

If it turns out to be a reproducible bug, I’d be happy to help escalate this to the support team for a closer look.

Thanks again for bringing this up—looking forward to helping you get it sorted!

I agree it would be nice to see a video.

There is a known bug in Miro in which connectors such as arrows that do not have both ends fixed to an object become “screwed up” if the frame they are in is modified in some conditions. So at least in my case, I never use “dangling connectors” anymore - if needed, I create invisible objects to attach to both ends. But if your connectors are really fixed to objects, that shouldn’t happen.

Thank you all for the input and thoughts.  I tried to do a video then realized that the end of the connector that was moving wasn’t actually anchored to anything.   They are all point to another line, which was by design for these flowcharts, but not actually connected to that line.  So user error on this one.

Thanks again for your help!

Mark
